Here you can find the list of PhD Programmes with indication of positions available for Academic Year 2026/2027 (cycle 42), with scholarships and scholarships bound to specific research topics.
More details on constraints, obligations and requirements for each scholarship can be found in Annex A to the Call.

Scholarship1 bound to the project “Internet-Scale BGP Path-Hijacking Detection and Mitigation (code:  ACN XLII_123199_062_UniVE) financed by the National Cybersecurity Agency – ACN (P.I.: prof. Leonardo MACCARI)

Scholarship 1 funded by AB Holding S.p.a. with predefined research topic: the project investigates diversity and intercultural dynamics within the framework of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion as an organizational framework.

Scholarship 1 co-funded by Department of Environmental Sciences, Informatics and Statistics and by “Fund for the Financing of University Departments of Excellence” five-year period 2023-2027 (Law No. 232 of 11 December 2016, Art.1, paragraphs 314-337 – Budget Law 2017 – CUP H73C22001930001) tied to the research topic: “Assessing emerging pollutant risks in a changing climate: chemical fate modelling for the Northern Adriatic Sea”.

Scholarships 16 of which:

  • 5 of which 3 tied to Antarctic themes and 2 tied to Arctic themes, funded by the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche – CNR, with provision for a research stay abroad of up to 6 months;
  • 1 funded by Università degli Studi di Messina, bound to the topic “Genomic insights into the polar plastisphere”, with provision for a research stay abroad of up to 6 months;
  • 2 funded by Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, bound to the topics "Hydrogen Cycling in Polar Environments: Sources, Sinks, and Ecosystem Implications" and “New frontiers in the study of sympagic and pelagic microalgae in polar waters, with provision for a research stay abroad of up to 6 months;
  • 2 funded by the Istituto Nazionale di Astrofisica – INAF sub condicione to the finalization of the agreement, bound to the topics "Studies in the fields of astronomy, heliophysics, and geophysics conducted using instrumentation located in the polar regions" and “Study, development, and optimization of instrumentation for observing the Sun at microwave wavelengths within the SOLARIS project”, with provision for a research stay abroad of up to 12 months;
  • 1 funded by the Istituto di Fisica Applicata "Nello Carrara" – IFAC-CNR sub condicione to the finalization of the agreement, bound to the topic "Development of methodologies for observing polar ice caps using microwave satellite instrumentation”, with provision for a research stay abroad of up to 6 months;
  • 1 funded by the Istituto di Scienze Polari – ISP-CNR, bound to the topic “Temperature and precipitation proxies in Alpine and Himalayan snow and ice samples: transfer functions and post-depositional assessments”, with provision for a research stay abroad of up to 12 months.
