Course overview

The Degree course is an innovative programme, the first in Italy of its kind in the economics and business management. Designed in partnership with H-Farm, the course trains digital transformation specialists capable of creating innovative start-ups or providing support to private and public companies, in Italy or abroad, in the digital transformation and innovation of business models.

Taught entirely in English, the course offers an immersive and interactive learning experience with an interdisciplinary pathway, problem- and project-based teaching, a rich programme of extra-curricular activities (for example workshops on soft skills and on wide-ranging topics such as geopolitics, presentation design, public speaking and interaction design). The course is distinguished by the continuous interaction between students, teachers and innovative start-ups and the engagement of important lecturers expert in the fields of transformation and digital innovation. The course provides a high degree of professional training: from this point of view, the project work that concludes the course has a significant weight in the curriculum and is undertaken at innovative companies affiliated to the Ca' Foscari and H-Farm networks. The proximity and direct participation of the companies, with particular reference to startups and innovative companies of the H-Farm ecosystem, will facilitate the job placement of students. The degree course is sited on the Ca' Foscari campus located in Roncade, at the H-Farm Education facilities.

Final exams and graduation

The training process will be extremely operational, built on company project work, with plenty of space for group work. It strives to produce concrete results, articulated on a very wide range of skills in the digital, organizational, managerial, financial and motivational fields.

The final exam consists of an essay in which students:

  1. Discuss the development of scientific knowledge on the specific theme of the project work undertaken at the company;
  2. Reason on the transformation dynamics of the sector in which the hosting company operates and on the potential offered to the company by digital transformation;
  3. Present the content and structure of the project work developed in the company;
  4. Demonstrate their ability to reflect critically on the internship experience and understanding of how to connect what they learned during the internship with the academic content of their university course.

The final exam consists of a written paper organised into sections agreed by the student and supervisor.
