Tutorship

All students taking a course from the Department of Economics can use tutoring services. These services include extra activities designed to help students strengthen their understanding in areas where they need additional support. Tutors are available to help students choose and write their final degree thesis.
The tutors are students from PhD or Master’s Degree Programmes and are selected through a public call.

To contact a tutor, students should send an email using their Ca’ Foscari University account (studentnumber@stud.unive.it) and include their name, student number (matricola), and the Educational Programme in which they are enrolled.

The tutoring session will take place online on Thursday, September 24, from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm. In all the following weeks, it will take place on Fridays, from 5.30 pm to 7.00 pm.

Tutorship meetings are aimed at supporting students and studying in detail the course programme, both in presence and with online tools (Moodle, Padlet), in order to simplify exchange of materials, questions and exercises. Meetings will be scheduled each time with the professor, considering students' availability and necessities, so as to ensure that activities are efficient and coherent with the course; they will be announced via Moodle.

The tutoring activities are aimed at supporting students and providing further in-depth exploration of the course topics, through both in-person activities and online tools (Moodle, Padlet). These tools will facilitate the exchange of materials, questions, exercises, and additional resources.

The meetings will be arranged with the instructor on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the availability and needs of the students, in order to ensure that the activities are as effective as possible and consistent with the requirements of the course.

The tutoring activities will take place during the second teaching period, approximately from November to January. Five in-person sessions will be held at the San Giobbe Campus between November and December, during which exercises will be carried out, followed by three online sessions in January.
