Curriculum vitae

Short Bio

Nicola Carta is a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Financial Markets and Institutions at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. He earned his PhD in Finance from Ca’ Foscari University, where he also completed a Master’s degree in Economics and Finance. During his doctoral studies, he was a Visiting Scholar at Florida Atlantic University in the United States. He has also carried out international research periods in France and Belgium within European Horizon research projects.
His research focuses on Entrepreneurial Finance and Sustainable Finance, exploring innovative financial solutions for sustainable development and entrepreneurship. His work has been published in important international journals such as European Financial Management, Journal of Technology Transfer, Economics Letters, and Venture Capital.
Nicola regularly presents his research at major international conferences. He is also an active member of the Italian Academy of Business Administration (AIDEA), the Italian Association of University Teachers of Financial Intermediaries and Markets (ADEIMF), and the European Association of University Professors of Banking and Finance (Wolpertinger Club).
Beyond academia, he is involved in executive training and consulting projects for private sector organizations.
