Paolo Berti is a lecturer in the Department of Humanities at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. He holds a degree in Art History from the University of Siena and a postgraduate diploma in Historical-Artistic Heritage Studies from the same institution. He earned his PhD at Sapienza University of Rome. He has conducted research at the Venice Centre for Digital and Public Humanities (VeDPH) at Ca’ Foscari and currently serves on the editorial board of magazén. International Journal for Digital and Public Humanities. As an art historian, his work primarily focuses on creative practices related to new media, digital cultures, and mobile technologies, with a broader interest in adjacent fields such as critical theory and game studies. He has published in academic journals and exhibition catalogues, and has been involved in translation and curatorial projects. He is the author of Estetiche della geolocalizzazione. Pratiche artistiche e media locativi [Aesthetics of Geolocation: Artistic Practices and Locative Media] (Sapienza University Press, 2025).
