Elisa Corrò is a Research Facilitator at the Venice Centre for Digital and Public Humanities (VeDPH) at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. Her research and project work lies at the intersection of Digital Humanities, cultural heritage, and cultural diplomacy, with a specific focus on community-centred approaches, cultural mediation, and knowledge transfer between academia, institutions, and the cultural and creative industries.

She holds a PhD in Ancient History and Archaeology from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and a postgraduate qualification in Cultural Resource Management and Archaeological Risk Assessment from LUISS Business School (Rome). She has been a certified Project Manager (ISIPM) since 2012. Her academic background provides a strong methodological foundation for an interdisciplinary understanding of cultural heritage as a dynamic and relational process.

Since 2019, her work has increasingly focused on public engagement and participatory models of heritage interpretation, developing projects that strengthen the relationship between communities, territories, and historical narratives. A central strand of her research concerns the integration of Neurohumanities into cultural heritage studies and mediation practices. She is Scientific Project Manager of the Actions for Neurohumanities area at the VeDPH Lab and collaborates internationally with Stanford University on interdisciplinary projects at the intersection of the humanities and cognitive sciences.

She is involved in European and international projects addressing cultural heritage sustainability and resilience, including Erasmus+ DIGITALIA – Digital Solutions for Sustainable and Disaster Resilient Heritage Management (2024-1-TR01-KA220-VET-000251597), with a focus on training strategies and digital skills development. In parallel, she works as a cultural curator and project designer, developing exhibition formats and editorial devices oriented towards cultural diplomacy and public participation, including Shared Visions.
