Dear Students,

This is to inform you that the upcoming laboratory activity (LE4 - Synthesis and Characterization of Self-Assembled Liquid Crystals) will take place over two sessions:

1. Thursday, 27 November – synthesis of the liquid-crystal compounds (LE4)

2. Friday, 28 November – purification and isolation of the liquid crystals

If you are unable to print the lab handouts, please let me know by Thursday 27/11 at 12:00, so I can provide a printed copy.

After setting up the synthesis for LE4 on Thursday, we will also dedicate time to catch up on the NMR analyses, which are currently behind schedule.

Dear all,

This is a reminder to email a copy of both certificates to giulia.fiorani@unive.it no later than 14 November 2025:

• Specialised Course for Students Involved in Scientific Activities in Teaching, Research and Analysis Laboratories – High Risk

• Worker General Training Course in Health and Safety at the Workplace

Before sending, ensure both certificates are valid until 1 December 2025 (date of the last lab session).

⚠️ Important: Students who do not submit both valid certificates will not be allowed to attend the laboratory sessions.

Dear all,

The Colloids and Interfaces laboratory sessions will start tomorrow, Thursday, 6 November 2025 at 2 PM. You can find the laboratory handouts in the Moodle page under “Module 2: Laboratory Experiences.”

Please print and bring the handouts for LE1 and LE2 to the sessions tomorrow and on Friday, and remember to bring your lab coat.

⚠️ Important: Students who have not submitted both valid safety certificates (Worker General Training Course in Health and Safety at the Workplace and Specialised Course for Students Involved in Scientific Activities – High Risk) will not be allowed to attend the laboratory sessions.
