Professor Ruperti awarded the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays

On Wednesday 14 July 2021, Bonaventura Ruperti, Full Professor of Japanese language and literature at the Department of Asian and North African Studies of Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, was awarded the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon.

On 2 June 2021, Fabiana Zollo participated in the Global Vaccine Confidence Summit, organised by the UK government as part of its presidency of the G7. The aim: using technology to promote confidence and trust in vaccines globally. 

Dr Pietro Ferrara achieves Amazon Research Award in Automated Reasoning

Dr Pietro Ferrara is one of the 101 winners from 59 universities around the world, making Ca’ Foscari the only Italian university on the winning list. Dr Ferrara is a researcher at the Department of Environmental Sciences, Informatics and Statistics and his project focuses on the security of access policies.

Four Ca’ Foscari climate scientists make The Reuters Hot List

Ca' Foscari is the most represented Italian research institute in The Reuters Hot List, a list of the world's top climate scientists. The four academics are Enrica De Cian, Carlo Carraro, Francesco Bosello and Carlo Giupponi. 

 

 

Mobility programmes are back, meet some of our new international students

In 2020, the health situation put a halt on many things in our lives, including international mobility programmes. What hasn’t stopped, though, are Ca’ Foscari’s efforts to make our University a safe place to welcome new international students that have chosen Venice as their destination.

Ida Zilio Grandi is the director of the newly founded Italian Cultural Institute in Abu Dhabi, inaugurated in October last year, and has recently returned to the Council for Relations with Islam, reconvened in November 2020. We interwieved her to know more about her work and the current situation in the Emirates.
