PhD programmes: the call for 2024/2025 is open

The call for applications to the 40th cycle of Ca' Foscari PhD programmes is open, starting in a.y. 2024/2025. The application deadline is 1:00 pm CEST on Thursday, 23 May 2024.

QS Rankings by subject: four Ca' Foscari disciplines in the world Top 100

In the new edition of the QS World University Rankings by subject, which is consulted by over 50 million students every year, Ca' Foscari is among the best universities in the world for Classical Studies and Ancient History (45th in ranking), Modern Languages (69th in the overall ranking and 3rd in Italy), History (3rd in the national ranking) and Hospitality and Leisure management (1st again among Italian universities).

Easter 2024: University closures

The venues of Ca' Foscari University in Venice, Mestre and Treviso will be closed from Saturday, 30 to Monday, 1 April 2024, for the Easter holidays. They will open again on Tuesday, 2 April 2024, with regular hours.

Ca' Foscari and Geneva Graduate Institute sign new agreement

Ca' Foscari University of Venice and the Geneva Graduate Institute have signed a partnership aimed at promoting cooperation in areas of common interest and shared academic goals involving students, faculty, and staff. The first educational opportunity under the new partnership will be a student exchange programme.

New spaces for the university community at Palazzo Badoer

The new unit is the result of an agreement between Ca' Foscari University of Venice and ESU Venice, the Regional Body for Students’ financial aid and services. The building will remain open until late with spaces for teaching, socialising and meals.

Ca' Foscari: three million euros to student financial aid and services

Ca' Foscari University of Venice invests in the right to education. The University will implement new economic measures to complement state and regional funding with its own funds, allocating a total of 3 million euros over the current three-year period.

Boom in research projects funding: EUR 33 million in 2023

The year 2023 was the best ever for Ca' Foscari University of Venice in the field of research projects. In that year our university received an overall 33 million euros via European, national and regional funding - an unprecedented amount.

Ca Foscari's active solidarity with the people of Israel and Palestine

The University joins the call from many quarters for an immediate ceasefire, accompanied by the resumption of dialogue between Israelis and Palestinians.
