A new meeting of Ca' Foscari and Fudan University representatives took place, aimed at signing a Supplementary Agreement. The agreement focuses on student, faculty and staff mobility, and falls within the Memorandum of Understanding that was entered by Ca’ Foscari during the Rector’s visit to China last April.

With this new agreement, the two universities undertake to develop a bilateral exchange involving Bachelor's degree students, faculty and technical-administrative staff as part of the Overseas Mobility Programme. The document, signed on Tuesday 10 October at Ca’ Foscari’s Rector's Office, binds all the departments at Fudan University, therefore those taking part in the exchange will be able to access any course there.

The signing of the agreement was attended by a delegation of Fudan University faculty and staff, comprising Mr. QIU Xin, Chair University Council of Fudan University, Prof. LU Li'an, Director, Office of Global Partnerships, Prof. YUAN Xin, Chair, School of Philosophy, Prof. YIN Zhiwen, Vice Dean, School of Management, Prof. YIN Zhiwen, Vice Dean, School of Management, Prof. LIU Wei, Vice Dean, School of Foreign Languages, Literature, Mr. Wo'an. LU Xiongwen, Dean, School of Management, Prof. YIN Zhiwen, Vice Dean, School of Management, Prof. LIU Wei, Vice Dean, School of Foreign Languages and Literature, Mr. WU Hao, Program Manager, President Office and Ms. FAN Jiawen, Program Manager, Office of Global Partnerships.

The meeting was also an opportunity to touch in greater depth on some of the topics that were discussed during the April meeting, such as the organisation of joint events with Fudan University's School of Philosophy.

Rector Tiziana Lippiello: "After our first meeting in China a few months ago, today we welcomed at Ca’ Foscari a delegation from Fudan University. The aim of the meeting was the signing of an agreement that marks a new collaboration between our two universities in the field of international relations. Ca' Foscari and Fudan will cooperate in exchange initiatives for students, faculty and technical-administrative staff, enhancing opportunities to study and work abroad. We are happy to offer new prospects to our community, and to strengthen Ca' Foscari's international vocation: an increasingly global scenario must be met with increasingly cross-cutting and inclusive skills."
