"In September, Ca’ Foscari will return to being the place we all know and love, as we will finally return to our classrooms!" says the Rector, Tiziana Lippiello, in a message to Ca' Foscari's community. The message continues: "Classes will be held in person starting on September 6 for the linguistic area and starting on September 13 for all other areas. Once again, our buildings will welcome teaching staff and students. Once again, we will be able to share moments, exchange ideas and socialise, finally face to face. Of course we will need to respect all the safety measures that will be necessary — however, we will regain possession of what being a university really means: we are an academic community that feeds on the sharing and comparison of ideas, of which in-person teaching and learning is a fundamental resource.
I am absolutely delighted and I know that my feelings are shared by the teachers who during this long period of time have accompanied and supported students in their learning. I hope that this piece of news brings you joy and trust.
Naturally, we are aware that the health situation is ever-changing and that it is constantly being monitored. Therefore, for the first semester we will make use of the dual mode for international students and, if social distancing needs to be maintained, for all students, in order to ensure that everyone has access to educational resources.
Regardless of the course of the pandemic, the university is arranging additional services to support teaching and learning for students with disabilities, students with critical health conditions, and working students. We will gladly communicate this information as soon as possible.
The university’s communication channels will be updated with all the information and the details regarding the way in which teaching and learning activities will be resumed. Make sure to follow us to keep up with the lastest news.
Dear students, we cannot wait to see you again at Ca’ Foscari!"
