Spin-offs
Ca' Foscari University promotes an entrepreneurial culture to foster the development of highly qualified youth and the creation of businesses who will contribute to the economic, social and cultural spheres.
PInK regularly organises training courses for students and researchers on basic concepts and foundational tools for entrepreneurship, including: business modelling, business planning, regulatory frameworks, communication and other soft skills.
We also support the creation and accreditation of entrepreneurial projects originating within the University: academic spin-offs and student start-ups.
- Spin-off companies are set up on the initiative of lecturers, researchers, research grant or research contract holders, and PhD students, with the aim of developing and commercialising innovative products and services derived from the results of their research.
Accreditation lasts for five years and guarantees dedicated services, incentives and the opportunity for research staff to hold management positions within the company until the end of the accreditation period. - Start-ups, on the other hand, are set up on the initiative of students or undergraduates and non-tenured research staff: they are therefore not linked to the results of academic research, but must still meet innovative requirements related to their products or services and foresee the scalability of their business model.
