The Venice Centre for Digital and Public Humanities (VeDPH) is part of the Department of Humanities of Ca' Foscari University of Venice. It supports the development, accessibility and dissemination of research and teaching in the Digital (DH) and Public Humanities (PH) by facilitating exchange and coordination between existing experiences and by inspiring new projects.

VeDPH Seminars in Digital and Public Humanities

The Digital and Public Humanities seminar series is organised by the Venice Centre for Digital and Public Humanities (VeDPH) at the Department of Humanities of Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. The seminars take place in person at Ca’ Foscari University and can be attended either on site or online. Delivered in English, the events are open to everyone and free of charge.

We are pleased to announce the publication of magazén | International Journal for Digital and Public Humanities, vol. 6.2. All articles as always are freely accessible online. Magazén is the interdisciplinary journal of the Venice Centre for Digital and Public Humanities (VeDPH). It is indexed in Scopus, undergoes double-blind peer review, and is published twice per year in open access by Edizioni Ca’ Foscari. The journal aims at stimulating an interdisciplinary discourse on methods and practices serving a collaborative development of durable, reusable, shared resources for research and learning in the field of digital and public humanities.

The Venice Centre for Digital and Public Humanities (VeDPH) at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice is pleased to welcome Fabrizio Nevola and James Coleman as Visiting Scholars during the spring semester of 2026. Both scholars are recipients of a Giles Constable Award from the Gladys Krieble Delmas Foundation, supporting research projects focused on the culture and history of the Italian Renaissance.

magazén, the interdisciplinary journal of the Venice Centre for Digital and Public Humanities (VeDPH), invites abstract submissions for its 2026 volume. Deadlines: 28 February 2026 (abstract), 23 March 2026 (acceptance), 1 October 2026 (final submission). The journal publishes peer-reviewed open-access research on Digital and Public Humanities, Art History, Archaeology, Cultural Heritage, Museum Studies, and Textual Scholarship. Submissions must follow editorial guidelines and include an English abstract.
