1. Download eduVPN

Browse to www.eduvpn.org, and click on “Download eduVPN”. Then click on “Download for Linux” to start downloading the software.

2. Install eduVPN

Choose “Installation” and look for your Linux distribution.

Follow the instructions, running the commands in a terminal if required to.

Accept the installation of new packages typing “Y” when required.

3. Configure Ca’ Foscari VPN

Launch eduVPN application, then search for Ca’ Foscari in the “Search for your institute” text box. Click on “Università Ca’ Foscari Venezia” in the list that appears under “Institute Access”.

4. Login

Switch to the browser window that just opened, and use your Ca’ Foscari credentials to properly authorize eduVPN.

Back to the eduVPN window, click on “Approve” to finally authorize eduVPN client.

5. Connect with Ca’ Foscari eduVPN

If your account has just one VPN profile enabled the connection starts automatically, you will be shown a “Connected” message and you will be able to enable/disable the VPN using the green switch below the word “Connected” (or “Not Connected” when connection is not enabled).

If your account is enabled for more than one VPN profile, eduVPN shows a drop-down menu with the available profiles names (those shown in the screenshots are just examples and may change over time).

Choose the one you want to enable and, with that selected, click on the switch button to enable it.
