Admission and enrolment
This page provides information solely for admission to the first and second year.
If you have already earned 108 CFU or more and are enrolling, or if you are requesting to be transferred from another programme or another university, information about admission is available on the website of the degree programme in Hospitality Innovation and E-tourism - Enrolment until 2024/2025.
This is a limited-admission programme taught in English that requires candidates to take an entry test. This test evaluates candidates’ knowledge and puts them on a ranking list based on their final scores. Only successful candidates will be allowed to enrol.
Specific details concerning registration, selection, and enrolment are published in the call for applications.
Admission to the programme
To enrol, you must hold one of the following qualifications:
Qualifications obtained in Italy
- a five-year secondary school diploma (diploma di maturità quinquennale);
- a four-year secondary school diploma (diploma di maturità quadriennale) with an additional integrative year. If the integrative year is missing, admission to the degree programme will be subject to evaluation by the relevant academic committee;
- a European Baccalaureate diploma (or European Secondary School Leaving Certificate) obtained from European Schools located in Italy.
Qualifications obtained abroad
If you hold an international qualification, admission will vary depending on several factors, including whether you must apply for a student visa to enter Italy. Please follow the procedures outlined on the webpage Admission and enrolment with an international qualification.
The admission procedure for the 2026/2027 academic year includes two selection rounds: spring and summer.
The admission procedure consists of the following steps:
- Taking the TOLC-E test and registering for the Ca’ Foscari selection;
- Checking your position in the ranking list;
- Accepting your place in the degree programme by enrolling online and paying the first instalment of the tuition fees.
If you are a candidate with a disability or with learning disabilities, you can make use of individualised procedures for taking the test. All the specific information on the available assistance is in the call for applications and on the inclusivity and disability services webpage. You can submit your request when registering for the TOLC-E.
Additional Learning Requirements (OFA)
Admission to the Hospitality Innovation and e-Tourism degree programme requires adequate knowledge of mathematics, logic, and reading comprehension and English at a minimum B2-level.
Your knowledge of mathematics, logic, and reading comprehension will be tested during the TOLC-E entry test – candidates who do not achieve a minimum score of 9 out of 36 will be assigned an Additional Learning Requirement – ALR (Obbligo Formativo Aggiuntivo – OFA) in logic-mathematics. Please note that the English language section is excluded from the total score.
Candidates who passed a SAT test with a score of 880 or more out of 1600 or a CEnT-S test with a minimum score of 20 or more are exempted from the Additional Learning Requirement (OFA) in logic-mathematics.
If you enrol and obtain credit recognition for at least 3 CFU in the mathematics field, you will be exempt from the Mathematics OFA.
If you do not fulfill the OFA by September 30th, 2027, you will not be allowed to take any exams included in your study plan until its fulfillment.
To get more information about how to fulfill the logic-mathematics OFA, please consult the dedicated section on the Study page.
A minimum B2-level knowledge of English is mandatory for enrolment. You can demonstrate your English knowledge level by submitting one of the recognised certifications or if you fall within one of the exemption categories.
If you do not satisfy the English language requirement at the time of enrolment, you will be assigned an English B2 Additional Learning Requirement- ALR (Obbligo Formativo Aggiuntivo – OFA) that must be fulfilled by the end of your first year of study.
If you do not fulfill the OFA by September 30th, 2027, you will not be allowed to take any exams included in your study plan until its fulfillment.

Specific enrolment opportunities
Remember that it is possible to enrol in a degree programme requesting:
- status of part-time student;
- status of student-athlete;
- fee reductions and exemptions dedicated to students with a disability;
- simultaneous enrolment.
Credit recognition procedure
The procedure for enrolment with credit recognition from a previous academic career, intra-university or inter-university transfer, involves the evaluation of your previously completed exams and the subsequent issuance of a credit recognition form.
The Ca' Foscari University, according to the European directives that norm the ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System), recognises equivalence: 1 CFU = 1 ECTS.
You may enrol in a Degree Programme requesting accreditation for the following previous studies and training activities:
- Bachelor's Degrees or Master's Diplomas;
- incomplete University studies as a result of withdrawal, lapsed status;
- single courses;
- Internship/traineeships/previous employment;
- simultaneous enrolment.
If you are recognised with 108 CFU or more, you must request admission to the third year of this degree programme offered until 2024/2025. Therefore, consult the communication at the top of this webpage.
Year of Enrolment
The year of enrolment will be determined based on the number of recognised credits (CFU):
- Up to 47 CFU: Admission is granted to the first year of the course. You must take the TOLC-E exam and register for the Ca' Foscari selection. If you get admitted, you must accept the place and enrol according to the deadlines specified in the Call for Applications. Intra-university and inter-university transfers for admission to the first year are not allowed: if you get admitted, you must withdraw from your current course and enroll as a new student (ex-novo). You will follow the 2026/2027 a.y. study plan.
- From 48 to 107 CFU: Admission is granted to the second year of the course. You must request a place for enrolment in the second year via the procedure described in the "Application for admission to the second year" section on this page. You will follow the 2025/2026 a.y. study plan.
- 108 CFU and above: Admission is granted to the third year of the course offered until 2024/2025. You must request a place for enrolment in the third year. Follow the notice at the top of the page for specific information.
How to request your Credit Recognition Form
The request must be submitted within the following time windows, which align with the periods for assigning available places in subsequent years:
- first round: from April 7th to June 25th, 2026;
- second round: by August 18th, 2026.
As specified in the call for applications, candidates who enrol in the first year must submit their request at least 15 days before the enrolment deadline. During the enrolment procedure, candidates must upload their credit recognition form, approved by the Teaching Committee and duly signed.
Click on the button “Request your Credit Recognition Form”: by selecting your bachelor's degree, your request will be automatically forwarded to the relevant Campus.
You are required to upload the following documents:
- a signed self-certification form listing exams. Please indicate for each exam: the name of the Course of study and class code, the name of the University, the name of the courses taken with their academic fields and disciplines sector and relative weight in CFU (ECTS), the mark and the exam date. This document might be available in your University Reserved Area: if it is not available or, if all the required data is not listed, you may use the forms on this page;

Requests for credit recognition are to be submitted to the Campus. The Teaching Committee will evaluate your request. Once approved, the credit recognition form will be sent to you via e-mail. Please remember to sign the form.
The Credit Recognition Form must be attached during the enrolment procedure.
Enrolment with credit recognition is subject to the fee payment of 300,00 euros: the payment invoice will be provided upon confirmation of enrolment.
You are not obliged to pay if you request credit recognition for:
- activities undertaken previously at Ca' Foscari (for example, single courses) if the code of the lectures corresponds to that required by the study plan. In the case that some lectures do not fall among those included in the study plan, and consequently are listed among those that can be chosen by the student, you will have to pay the 300,00 euros fee;
- inter-university transfer;
- simultaneous enrolment.
Credits will be recognised according to the Linee guida per riconoscimento CFU [ITA] (CFU Recognition Guidelines).
Activities recognised through a completed Master's degree or Master's diploma will not affect the final grade. However, activities recognised from single courses or from an incomplete university career resulting from withdrawal, expiration, or transfer will be taken into account for grade point average.
Enrolment with credit recognition is not allowed to students concurrently enrolled in another University degree programme, for which suspension has been requested.
Credit recognition forms for Ca’ Foscari activities
Candidates who wish to request credit recognition exclusively for activities carried out at Ca' Foscari, with the same course code as in their current study plan (e.g., single courses attended at Ca' Foscari), can fill in the recognition form themselves and attach it, duly signed, during the enrolment procedure.
Credit recognition forms for activities completed at Ca’ Foscari will be available by April 7, 2026.
