Overview

The programme trains professionals who are highly sought after in the hospitality sector, both in Italy and internationally. Taught entirely in English, it offers global training that combines advanced managerial skills with digital transformation and sustainability in tourism services. It goes beyond management: you will explore the complexity of tourism in all its aspects – social, economic, cultural, anthropological, and environmental – gaining a broad and strategic view of the sector.

The study plan is structured into three closely integrated areas:

  • Managerial competencies: economic and financial management, human resources, organisation, management control and industry regulations
  • Digital and technological competencies: property and inventory management, CRM, social media, big data and ICT applied to tourism
  • Cultural and territorial competences: museology, history, geography and analysis of local contexts

The programme is developed through a partnership between academia and industry, with a strong focus on the labour market. It was established in collaboration with the Fondazione della Scuola Italiana di Ospitalità (SIO) and supported by TH Resorts and Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP). Thanks to the significant allocation of credits dedicated to internships, laboratories, and practical activities, the programme provides you with a solid professional profile, equipped with real-world experience and skills that can be applied all over the world.

Opinions

Claudio Lucchese

Programme coordinator

“If you want to work in the hospitality industry and believe in its values, while also aiming to invest in your future and develop managerial and digital skills, the Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Hospitality Innovation and e-Tourism is the ideal choice for you. You will also have the chance to undertake internships at leading organisations and learn from top professionals in the sector as part of a continuously evolving educational journey.”

International network, experience abroad and employment

Almost one third of the programme’s university credits are earned through three internships (one per academic year) in the hospitality industry, both in Italy and abroad. This will enable you to gain practical work experience and begin building your professional network.

The internships are structured to gradually increase your responsibilities: beginning with an operational role in the first year, progressing to supervision in the second, and culminating in assisting with management in the third year. Guided by a supervisor, you will learn through the internationally recognised learning-by-doing approach, typical of the top hospitality schools.
The alternation between classroom lessons and on-site experiences will help you reinforce your competencies. Internships are available either in Italy or abroad, depending on your language skills and the opportunities available.
