The programme at a glance
The Master’s level Double Degree programme jointly designed by Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and Athens University of Economics and Business allows selected students to attend second-year courses at the partner institution and, upon completion of the programme, to obtain a double academic degree.

During the mobility year, selected students will be required to pay tuition fees at the partner institution and will benefit from an exemption at Ca’ Foscari, with the exception of the regional tax for the right to education. Under the terms of the double degree agreement, Ca’ Foscari students participating in the programme are granted a 20% discount on the tuition fees to be paid to the partner institution. Admission requirements
The Double Degree programme is reserved to students enrolled in the Master’s degree in Data Analytics for Business and Society at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice.
To participate in the programme, students must apply during their first year of enrollment.
At the time of application, candidates must have earned at least 18 ECTS credits.
Before departure, they must have earned the credits envisaged in the study plan for the first year of the programme by successfully passing the relevant exams. Departure is conditional upon the completion of at least 60 ECTS credits.
Students who have not obtained the required number of credits may still be admitted and enrolled at the host university, subject to authorization from both institutions. In such cases, the maximum number of missing credits allowed is 15 ECTS. The host university may provide support for completing the remaining coursework, including through distance learning.
Students intending to participate in the programme must have an adequate level of English proficiency, which must be certified through an official language certification. The certification must be presented by selected students upon registration at the partner university and is not required at the application stage.

Application and selection
Students can apply for the programme following the procedures and deadlines outlined in the Call for applications and its annexes, which are published annually.

Programme and study plan
Students will spend one academic year at the Athens University of Economics and Business during their second year of enrollment, during which they must earn 72 ECTS credits, comprising:
- 42 ECTS for exams;
- 30 ECTS for the AUEB thesis.
Once selected, students must contact the Educational Programmes office of the Department of Economics (didattica.economia@unive.it) to pre-arrange their study plan abroad, based on equivalencies between courses at the Athens University of Economics and Business and those at Ca’ Foscari, and to agree on any necessary adjustments to their study plan at Ca’ Foscari University.

Tuition fees and mobility grant
For the mobility year only, selected students will be required to pay tuition fees at the partner university and will benefit from an exemption at Ca’ Foscari, with the exception of the regional tax for the right to education.
Under the agreement, Ca’ Foscari students are granted a 20% discount on the tuition fees to be paid to the partner university.
The student who ranks first in Ca’ Foscari’s selection list will be fully exempt from paying tuition fees at the partner university and will pay regular tuition fees at Ca’ Foscari instead during the mobility year.
For the period of mobility abroad, selected students will benefit from a mobility grant, as provided for in the Call for applications.
Mobility procedures
Before departing for the mobility, selected students will be required to:
- complete the registration/application procedure at the receiving institution according to the methods and within the deadlines set by the Partner University;
- sign the grant agreement that regulates the disbursement of the mobility grant;
- fill out the Learning Agreement, listing all the educational activities to be carried out at the Partner University and identifying the equivalences with the courses included in the Ca' Foscari study plan, which must be approved by the academic coordinators of the programme at Ca' Foscari and at the Host University.
Further information will be provided by the Welcome Unit (International Office) upon completion of the selection process and after formal acceptance of the offer.
After reaching the destination, students will have to get the confirmation of arrival form signed by the Partner University, to certify the actual start date of the mobility period (orientation/welcome activities or educational activities).
If the students intend to make changes to the study plan agreed upon before departure, it is possible to complete a Learning Agreement variation form, which must be approved by the academic coordinators of the programme at Ca' Foscari and at the Host University.
Before returning from the mobility, students will have to get the confirmation of departure form signed by the Partner University, to certify the actual end date of the mobility period.
As soon as it is available, students must send the Transcript of Records issued by the Host University to the Welcome Unit (International Office). The Transcript of Records is the certificate listing all the educational activities they have completed during their mobility period abroad.
The activities reported in the Transcript of Records must correspond to those agreed upon in the Learning Agreement and in any subsequent amendments.
Graduation
Students will conclude the programme at the partner University, following the procedures established by the Host institution. The graduation committee will be composed of professors from both universities.
Once the degree has been awarded, the Partner university will send the necessary documentation to the Educational Programmes office of the Department of Economics and to the International Office in order to initiate the credit recognition procedure for the activities completed abroad, including the final examination, for the purpose of issuing the Ca' Foscari degree.
After the credit recognition procedure has been completed, students will be invited to attend a ceremony for the conferral and awarding of the Ca' Foscari degree, which will take place during the first available graduation session. To this end, students will be required to submit a graduation request at Ca’ Foscari, by following the procedures and deadlines indicated on the relevant webpage: Thesis and final degree exam | Deadlines, admission and procedures.
Both diplomas will be legally recognized in the countries where they are issued.
