Michele MARZULLI

I hold a PhD in Sociology and Methodology of Social Research. My professional experience includes research roles at both public and private institutions, as well as positions as a research fellow and contract lecturer at various universities in Italy and abroad. I currently deliver teaching on three-year and master's degree courses at this university, as well as on select master's courses. Furthermore, I am a member of the Doctoral College (DIN) in Life Course Research, which has been established at the University of Florence.

Research activities

I am engaged in a number of research projects at the national and international levels, including:

• 'Multiplying Charity', a research project for the establishment of a permanent Poverty Observatory, Department of Economics, Ca' Foscari University of Venice and Caritas of Venice (2024).
• 'A Good Life', a project designed to facilitate the implementation and ongoing assessment of the care pathway for individuals with disabilities in the Tuscan region (2023 onwards).
• ENGAGEgreen: Enhancing Institutional Capacities and Researchers' Competences for Policy Engagement in the Context of Green and Digital Transitions. The Erasmus+ project is a collaboration between Ca' Foscari University's Department of Economics and five other European universities. It is coordinated by the Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main and will commence in 2023. LINK
• PRIN: Empowering Citizens for a Circular Economy: A Human-Centred Law Model (ECCE-HUMAN). (From 2023 onwards). LINK
• NextGenEU: 'Age-It: A novel public-private alliance has been established with the objective of generating socioeconomic, biomedical and technological solutions for an inclusive Italian ageing society. The Extended Partnership is coordinated by the University of Florence (from 2023). LINK
• National survey on childcare services: data collection and analysis project in the context of the Agreement between the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Ca' Foscari University of Venice (Dept. of Economics) and ISTAT (from 2022).
• UNI4JUSTICE: promotion and implementation of organisational actions and interventions in the Judicial Offices in the context of the reform of the Process Office. Project in collaboration with the judicial offices of the Venice Court of Appeal District (2022-2023).
• Research project on health in the post-pandemic era, inter-university network Responsible Welfare, construction of the "Manifesto for proximity health. A recalibration of NHS territorial care starting from the centrality of the person" (2021-2022).
