the programme in Business Administration will allow students to clearly understand how companies work, how they can achieve excellence, and why specific processes are in place. In detail, students will learn the role of management in different areas of business, mainly in regards to decision-making processes. Also, the programme will offer knowledge in business organization, marketing, finance, banking, and learn how to prepare and read balance sheet and other tools useful to support operations and business growth, such as budget and planning tools

all lectures are based on a multidisciplinary approach as well as innovative and engaging teaching methodologies, such as role plays or problem solving approaches. Through project works and the presence of guests, students will have the chance to meet business leaders and innovative minds, and learn from their experience

Why choose this programme

The bachelor’s degree programme in Business Administration has a history that began more than 50 years ago. It was indeed the first of its kind to be established in Italy, together with Bocconi University of Milan. Today it counts more than 13 thousand graduates who cover high-profile positions in companies and international organisations of all kinds and sizes.

The programme in Business Administration was born at Ca' Bembo palace in Venice, with the aim to train professionals able to respond to any emerging managerial challenge, 
Today, the degree programme keeps its innovative angle, training managers who can successfully work and keep the pace of the ever changing global market. In 2011, the Business Administration programme assumed a strong international dimension with the creation of the curriculum in Business Administration and Management, that combines the tradition of the business studies of Ca' Foscari - the first Italian Business School - with classes entirely taught in English. This approach has been designed to respond to the needs of today’s job market with a multidisciplinary path, focused on personal and professional growth of its students.
The quality of the degree programme was awarded with the accreditation in 2019, by the Evaluation Italian National Agency of the University System and Research (ANVUR).

Employment

Once graduated, doors will open up for students to work in management and consulting roles, in companies part of several fields, such as sales, banking and finance, public sector, both in Italy and abroad. Students will also acquire the proper skill-set to cover consulting roles as accountant and employment consultant.
The curriculum in English (Business Administration and Management) is particularly suitable for students who aspire to cover management or consulting positions at companies operating globally.

International networks

The Bachelor's degree offers several Erasmus programmes in partnership with more than 60 European Institutiones, such as ESSEC Business School, Autonoma de Madrid, Stockholm Business School. In addition to this kind of opportunity, several exchange programmes are available in partnership with American, Australian, Japanese and Chinese universities.

Every year the Department of Management - Venice School of Management organizes several summer programmes and international workshops, with prestigious universities and Business Schools such as Universität Hohenheim, Copenhagen Business School, Leuphana University of Lünenburg, Université Paris- Dauphine and University of St. Gallen, Henley Business School, University of Reading.

Since 2022, students enrolled in the first year of the programme in Business Administration and Management can participate in the ECOTOPIA initiative, which is an international training programme, taught entirely in English and part of the Eutopia alliance.

Direct experience and innovative teaching

Students will have the opportunity to carry out curricular and extracurricular activities that will allow them to put into practice what they learn during classes. Our academic teaching is indeed based on innovative approaches such as Design Thinking, Lean Startup methodology and Business Model Design; it is also enriched with several project works with companies, business case discussions and speeches with business leaders.

Thanks to the innovative initiatives designed with companies, students can study with entrepreneurs, top managers, experts and innovative minds, who will allow them to deepen their knowledge in topics related to business management, finance and marketing.

The collaboration with student associations offers several opportunities to explore students' interests and set the first steps of their professional path, thanks to events, training sessions, workshops and meetings.
