Huang Weizhi 黄为之 (ed.), Jingji zhongji Hanyu kouyu 经济中级汉语口语 / Business Chinese Conversation - Intermediate, Beijing Language and Culture University Press, Beijing, 2008, vol. 1.
The units of Huang Weizhi's book to be prepared are as follows: 1 (dialogues 1, 2, 3), 2 (only dialogues 1, 2), 3 (dialogues 1, 2, 3), 5 (dialogues 1, 2, 3), 6 (only dialogues 2, 3), 7 (dialogues 1, 2, 3, 4), 8 (only dialogues 1, 2, 3), 9 (only dialogues 1, 2, 3), 10 (dialogues 1, 2), 15 (only dialogue 1).
The oral exam consists of the Chinese-Italian liaison interpreting of one of the dialogues in the syllabus. One line of the dialogue will be played from the cd, and the student will render into Italian, paying attention to fluency and accuracy (with special reference to technical vocabulary), and so on for a total playing time of 2 minutes. No grammar questions or conversation in Chinese are included in the exam.
The course is taught through stand-up lectures, during which simulated liaison interpreting sessions are held on a regular basis.
