The course is one of the courses that characterise the degree in Management (Economia Aziendale) and aims at providing the students with the fundamental concepts of competitive analysis. The main topics of the course deal with the analysis of the competitive advantage of the firm, the analysis of the industry attractiveness and tools for competitors identification.
After completing the course the students will be able to analyse the attractiveness of an industry, the competitive dynamics among rival firms and their sources of competitive advantage.

Attendance, active participation in the training activities proposed by the course and individual study will enable students to:
- know the main tools of competitive analysis;
- know how to exemplify the main theoretical concepts related to the analysis of competition;
- know how to apply the main indicators for the analysis of competition;
- know how to determine the most appropriate method for analyzing how firms compete.

Students who have not passed the Economia Aziendale exam cannot take the Analisi della Concorrenza exam

As for the exam preparation, various documents in digital format will be available to be downloaded at the link "Moodle" (on the instructor's webpage)
All teaching materials will be uploaded on Moodle before the beginning of the course.
Written exam, with a mix of open-ended and multiple-choice questions (approximately: 5 multiple choice questions, 2 points each question; 2 open questions or exercises, 11 points each question; exam duration 60 minutes).
Lectures centered on theoretical issues, discussion of case studies and seminars from business representatives.
