The course of "Principles of Economics and Management" has the primary goal of introducing the basics tools for understanding the discipline. More specifically, the objectives of the course are:
1. To introduce the basic concepts on the enterprise system and on the competitive environment in which it operates
2. To analyse its strategic management, with particular regards to its organization, marketing, innovation, and sustainability
This is one of the elective courses within the China/Japan/Korea curricula of the Corso di Laurea in "Lingue, Culture e Società dell'Asia e dell'Africa Mediterranea" (indirizzi economico-giuridico/interpretariato-traduzione for China; only indirizzi economico-giuridico for Japan/Korea).
1. Knowlegde and understanding:
-knowledge of basic terms of management and marketing.
-understanding of key concepts of the enterprise system.
2. Applying knowledge and understanding:
-applying models and conceptual definitions to managerial cases studies.
3. Making judgements:
-evaluate critically the strategic actions of the enterprises.

-ability of interacting with peers and tutor in reflection on maanagerial and strategic features.
5. Learning skills:
- ability of elaborating contentss of references
-ability of consulting different forms of informative maatwerials (i.e., books, articles, enterprises websites, videos)

Optional and supplementary readings will be suggested during the course
Assessment is done through a written test, the same for attending and not attending students. The examination is composed by 10 multiple choice questions to be answered in 30 minutes.
This examination could be supplemented by a partial evaluation through a classroom exercise.
