Within the Venice module of the MIM, the course on project design and management provides students with the appropriate tools to address EU proposal drafting as an essential dimension of their future activities as fund-raisers and grant writers in the Mediterranean area. The course, practice-based, aims to develop methodological tools and build the students’ capacities.
Knowledge: (i) rationale and principles of EU programmes; (ii) evaluation criteria; (iii) methodological approach. Skills: (i) information, data mining, networking, (ii) grant writing. Competencies: (i) choosing the right programme, (ii) use of methodological tools; (iii) linking vertical and horizontal dimensions.
Entry requirements are the same as for the MIM and are supposed to be fulfilled.
10 lessons of 3 hrs each. Lesson 1): rationale, relevance, information/data mining, networking, concept note and group work. Lesson 2): analysis and assessment of concept notes. Context analysis, state of play, resource/competence mapping, consortium building, project organisation, project outline. Lesson 3): analysis and assessment of project outlines. Lesson 4): proposal writing (in groups) on the basis of (to be confirmed) KA2 – Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices - Capacity Building in the field of Youth (https://eacea.ec.europa.eu/erasmus-plus/funding/capacity-building-in-field-youth-2018_en ). Lessons 5), 6), 7), 8) and 9): analysis and assessment of projects. Lesson 10): students’ presentations and final analysis/assessment of projects.
