Most of the material will be provided by the teacher. The mathematics of this course is treated in hundreds (if not thousands) of books. A standard book used in Business Schools is

Essential Mathematics for Economic Analysis. By Knut Sydsaeter, Peter Hammond, Arne Strom

It covers much more of what needed for this course and can be a reference for future courses.
Assignments will be given during the practice sessions: the students, divided into groups, have to solve the given exercises and publish the solutions on the blog of the class.
Also there is a final written exam (of two hours): the students will have to solve exercises (most of them similar to those solved in class) and answer some basic theoretical question.
