The goal of this course is to enrich the students; knowledge and skills in view of the preparation of
the degree thesis through the acquisition of further practical experience or soft skills.
NOTE: 1 CFU = 1 ECTS
By the end of the activities, the student has acquired skills in the self-promotion of his or her competences and theoretical and practical skills in the management of the dissertation project.
No prerequisites are required.
Preparation for the final thesis involves a range of activities focused on in-depth study of the internship, including preparation for the final thesis, or the acquisition of transferable skills.

Students can choose from the following options for a total of 6 credits:

1. Attendance for 3 credits of the Archive Online Academy + another activity for 3 credits from among:
a. Archival description workshop (Prof. Marco Lanzini)
Manuscript cataloging workshop (Prof. Paola Degni)
Ancient and modern book cataloging workshop (Prof. Barbara Poli (Angela Munari)
b. Extended internship (agreed upon) or project for the development of the final thesis agreed upon with the thesis supervisor(s).
The total number of hours of attendance for online courses (AOA) for 3 credits is 30 hours (lessons and/or workshops) plus the preparation of a paper that summarizes the main topics covered.

2. Attendance of 2 activities equal to 6 CFU from among:

5. 150 hours of professional training agreed in advance with the course coordinator (paola.degni@unive.it) and not already recognized as a substitute for an internship (FM0267).

The form, completed and signed by the student, must be sent to the course coordinator (paola.degni@unive.it) for signature before the start of the activity.
2. At the end of the activities, the same form for credit recognition must be sent to the degree course coordinator in a single PDF file, together with the relevant certification (certificate of attendance for the Archive Online Academy activity + paper; statement from the institution or body where the activity proposed by the student or the internship took place; screenshot of Competency Centre and Contamination Lab participation certificate; workshop attendance certificate).
The coordinator will record the activity in the minutes of the first available exam session.

There is no final exam for this course, as the knowledge acquired is assessed through individual activities. There is no exam for practical activities, and a certificate of suitability is issued for the workshops.
