The objective of the laboratory training activities is to enrich the student's knowledge and skills through the acquisition of further practical experience and soft skills.
NOTE: 1 CFU = 1 ECTS
At the end of the course the student will have acquired the ability to promote their own skills and theoretical and practical management skills.
No prerequisites are required.
The programme consists of various laboratory activities and in-depth practical training, including preparation for the final thesis and the acquisition of transferable skills.
Note: this programme is intended for students who need to acquire B2 language skills (=3 credits). A total of 9 credits must be obtained by attending the activities listed in both points 1 and 2. PLEASE NOTE: at the end of the workshop, the lecturer will issue each student with a certificate of attendance. Once 9 CFU credits have been achieved, all certificates must be sent to paola.degni@unive.it with a copy to the Humanities Campus. The activity will be recorded in the examination sessions.

Students can choose from several options:

1a. 3 CFU out of 9 to be chosen from:
1 workshop of your choice (each worth 3 CFU = 50 hours):
archival description workshop (Prof. Marco Lanzini)
manuscript cataloguing workshop (Prof. Paola Degni)
ancient and modern book cataloguing workshop (Prof. Angela Munari, Querini Stampalia)

1b. attendance for 3 CFU of the Archive Online Academy.
The total number of hours of attendance for the online courses for 3 CFU is 30 hours (lessons and/or workshops), at the end of which a paper summarising the main topics covered must be prepared.

In order to record the activities of this course, students must send the course coordinator paola.degni@unive.it appropriate certificates of attendance and completion of the online activities collected in a single PDF file.

1c. Extended internship (75 hours) or thesis project agreed with a degree course lecturer.

The activity in this pathway must NOT be recorded as a free-choice exam or an extra exam, or as a substitute for an internship. Students must obtain proof of participation, including through screenshots.

To choose an activity and subsequently obtain CFU credits, please follow the procedure below:

1. Download the attached form (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1jZIs2Tv891-AaMOm3efvO0ySS8rN61-N/edit?tab=t.0 ) and tick the box next to your chosen option.
For options 1c and 2b, you must first send an email to the coordinator (paola.degni@unive.it), indicating the proposed activity and location for the extended internship and thesis project. The form, dated and signed by the student(s), must be submitted before the start of the activities to the representative of the Teaching Board for approval: Prof. Paola Degni (paola.degni@unive.it);

2. At the end of the activities, the same form must be sent in a single PDF file to the representative of the Teaching Board (paola.degni@unive.it) and the Humanities Campus (campus.umanistico@unive.it9), together with the relevant certification (certificate of attendance for the Archive Online Academy activity + thesis; statement from the institution or organisation where the activity proposed by the student or the internship took place; screenshot of the Competency and Contamination Lab certificate; certificate of attendance for one of the workshops). The course coordinator will record the activity in the first exam session.
