Thesis: Deforestation, conservation and community practices in a protected natural area. A case study in South West Mau (Kenya).
The research involved long-term fieldwork in Kenya and the use of several methodologies: satellite data to study land cover changes; historical archival data to examine land conflicts; data from qualitative interviews to analyze ecosystem services benefiting the population; and analysis of national and international reports to investigate government and private environmental policies.
