Dear Students

To ensure that everyone has the best possible learning experience—and to make sure our classrooms aren't too crowded—the number of spaces in each course is limited.

To reserve your spot in a course, please take two steps:

  1. Send a quick email to the relevant teacher letting them know you plan to attend the lessons. Please be specific and mention the exact course letter(s) (A, B, C, etc.) you wish to join. Our courses are conveniently offered during both the 1st and 2nd periods.
  2. Join the course Moodle page.

Before you take the final part of your exam, the monografico, we ask that you successfully complete these two courses:

  • 1 ‘writing’ course: You have a choice between Academic Writing or Professional Writing.
  • 1 ‘reading’ course: You can select either English for Arts Management or English for Cultural Heritage.

We understand that attending in person isn't always possible. Please know that you are welcome to complete all parts of the English Language exam (including these lettorati courses) as a non-attending student.

Please note: English Language teaching during the 1st semester is dedicated exclusively to our BENI CULTURALI & EGArt students.

Other Helpful Details

  • Please note that some of the texts for 2025-26 will be new editions. All necessary course materials are available for you to download directly from the course Moodle page.
  • The English courses for LETTERE/STORIA/FILOSOFIA students will be held in the 2nd semester. We'll be sure to publish that specific information for you very soon.

Always happy to help. Please feel free to reach out via email if you have any questions or need further clarification on anything at all.

warm regards

Dott. Jones

Dear Students,

To ensure that everyone has the best possible learning experience—and to avoid overcrowding—each course is limited in size.

To reserve your place in a course, please follow these two steps:

  1. Email the relevant teacher (Ewan Glenton or Nicholas Jones) to let them know you plan to attend. Be specific: mention the exact course letter(s) (A, B, C, etc.) you wish to join. Courses are offered during both the 3rd and 4th periods.

  2. Join the course Moodle page.

Before taking the final part of the exam (the monografico), all students must complete the following:

  • One writing course: Academic Writing or Professional Writing

  • One reading course: English for the Arts or English for History & Philosophy

Please note: All components of the English Language exam—including these lettorati courses—can also be completed as non-attending students.

You may enrol from Wednesday, 7 January to Friday, 13 February (deadline for 3rd-period courses), and until Friday, 3 April (deadline for 4th-period courses).

Some of the 2025–26 texts will be new editions. All course materials will be available for download on the relevant Moodle pages by early January at the latest.

Additional Information:

  • All English Language teaching in the 1st semester is reserved exclusively for Beni Culturali and EGArt students.

  • All English Language teaching in the 2nd semester is reserved exclusively for Lettere / Storia / Filosofia students.

If you have any questions or need further clarification, don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Warm regards,
Dott. Jones
