In 2023 the European Union launched the 'Care Strategy,' calling on countries to achieve common goals for long-term care. Funded by Horizon Europe, LeTs-Care is a comparative research project whose objective is to identify and study effective and replicable solutions in the field of long-term care.

Thaiti: the Italian software optimising cardiac MRI

THAITI uses artificial intelligence to make the diagnostic practice more accurate and efficient. The software has been developed and patented by an interdisciplinary team consisting of Daniela Besozzi and Daniele M. Researchers from the Politecnico di Milano and Ca' Foscari University of Venice are part of the team unravelling the causes of the degradation of cadmium yellow, used by the Spanish painter: the presence of zinc in the crystalline matrix of the pigment, the production process and the environmental conditions in which paint was stored. The research is published in the scientific journal Heritage Science.

The Cretan Warrior: helmet and shield brought to light in Phaistos

This remarkable discovery - a bronze panoply consisting of a shield boss, fragments of a helmet and possibly a belt - occurred during the archaeological excavation at Phaistos (Crete) in July 2023. The excavation was led by Professor Ilaria Caloi's team from Ca’ Foscari.
