On Tuesday, 12 September 2023, elections were held for the representatives in the Academic Senate and the Disciplinary Board for the three-year period 2023-2024/2025-2026.
The Ca' Foscari community expresses sympathy to the people of Morocco in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake of 8 September. At Ca’ Foscari the cultures of North Africa have long be studied and taught, and we feel particularly affected by this terrible tragedy. Our solidarity goes out to the entire Moroccan population and academic community.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed on 5 September and it will foster cooperation between the two institutions through educational and academic exchanges.

One of the Connected Communities that were approved stems from the proposal put forward by Ca' Foscari. It focuses on the Environmental Humanities and is led by Prof. Shaul Bassi of the Department of Linguistics and Comparative Cultural Studies.
The election round that led to the appointment of Ca' Foscari's department directors, who will remain in office from 1 October 2023 to 30 September 2026, has just ended.
Ca' Foscari gains hundreds of positions in the prestigious international ranking. It is now in the 661-670 range and ranks 21st in Italy. The University also stands out for some specific indicators, ranking 235th in the world (eighth in Italy) with reference to sustainability, and in the top 500 for the number of International faculty and academic reputation.

The NRPP funding will support challenging scientific projects on topics of global relevance such as: cultural heritage, sustainable tourism, welfare and ageing, cybersecurity, environmental and financial risks, and technological innovation. The total funding also includes EUR 10 million recently allocated by the Ministry of University and Research (MUR).
