2022 summer closing dates and variations in opening times

The seats of Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and of the Treviso Campus will be closed from 15 August to 21 August 2022, and will reopen on Monday 22 August.

EUTOPIA: the European Commission renews funding for the alliance

The European Commission has approved funding for the EUTOPIA MORE project, awarding over 14 million euros for the next four years to organise activities for students and initiatives to support PhD students and researchers. 

Ca’ Foscari’s Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation Strategy

Ca’ Foscari is the first university in Italy to approve a Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation Strategy. Its goal is to produce zero emissions by 2050 thanks to improvements in a series of areas.

Ca' Foscari final balance is +2,9 million euro

Ca’ Foscari University of Venice’s final balance for the year 2021, as approved by the Governance and Policy makers, stands at 2,9 million euro. This result attests to the financial solidity of the Venetian university and favours its investment potential for the realisation of its strategic goals.

International College: applications for graduate students are open

The call for admissions for Ca' Foscari’s International College is online. There are 8 places available for students of any nationality who wish to apply for the first year of a master’s degree in 2022/2023. The deadline for applying is 7 July.

Ca' Foscari's initiatives for Ukraine

Following the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, Ca’ Foscari has become involved in initiatives to support the Ukrainian population. In addition to allocating 50,000 euro to welcoming students, researchers and professors, the university is offering free Italian language courses, laboratories for children and teenagers, and cultural activities.

Sea Level Rise: Ca' Foscari supports restoration of Andreco artwork

The lines and numbers identifying the sea levels that could be reached in the next few decades are once again visible on the wall of the train station which faces the Grand Canal and Piazzale Roma in Venice. They were painted by Andreco five years ago and are the first mural on the Grand Canal. Next to it there is a six-metre-high installation on the resilience of the lagoon’s fragile ecosystem.
