Manuel Pedron, Master’s Degree student on the Business Administration programme at Ca’ Foscari, was the only European student selected to take part in the Enterprise Summer Programme organised by the National University of Singapore, the most prestigious University on the Asian continent and amongst the highest ranking institutions worldwide.

The two week program gathered students coming from 69 countries and culminated in a presentation of a business plan to a group of teaching staff and business leaders: Pedron presented a company that would offer health services to Indonesians unable to afford medical costs.

“It was a great honour to represent Ca’ Foscari on this programme”, Manuel told us upon his return to Italy, “the National University of Singapore was very impressed with my performance on the programme and offered to present the Summer programme to other students at Ca’ Foscari.”

During the intensive two week programme, Manuel Pedron attended lectures on innovation, strategy, entrepreneurship and business administration in the morning and visited start-ups and business leaders such as Google and Microsoft in the afternoon.

The activity I found most interesting”, he said, “was working with fellow students from India, China and Indonesia as a team. Living on the Singapore campus was a fascinating experience.”

Manuel Pedron left us with an encouraging message for other students at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice: “My studies at Ca’ Foscari gave me a solid background for the Summer Programme at NUS. It’s definitely worth applying.”
