On Friday November 16th 2018, 1148 new Ca’ Foscari graduates will celebrate their big day in the marvelous St. Mark Square. Special guest of the ceremony will be journalist Enrico Mentana.
At 2.30 p.m., Rector Michele Bugliesi will open the ceremony, followed by adresses from the city authorities and Enrico Mentana. Anna Guin and Catalina Spatarel, the best Italian student and the best foreign student of the session, will also give a speech before the delivery of the diplomas and the proclamation of the new “Dottori”.
Enrico Mentana is an Italian journalist and tv host. He began his career in 1980, working for RAI, Italy’s public radio and television broadcaster. After moving to Finnivest, he founded and then directed TG 5 for 12 years. He also ideated the talk show Matrix, created in 2005 as a competitor for the most famous political talk show in Italy, Porta a Porta. After a disagreement with the broadcaster, he quit Mediaset to work with LA7, where he took on the role of director for TG LA7 news programme.
