Plastic free: reserve your water bottle from November 21st

Venice is a mysterious city. Some say a whale may live beneath its streets and palaces.

Ca’ Foscari has decided to take care of this creature by reducing its own environmental impact: carrying forward with the initiatives towards a plastic free University, we are going to give away free water bottles to all the members of the Ca’ Foscari community - starting from November 25 and during the next months, students (newly enrolled or not), faculty and staff members will receive a water bottle by 24Bottles, with an exclusive illustration by Venetian artist Lucio Schiavon.

This decoration is exactly what makes our water bottle so special: the illustration depicts fragments of Venetian life, linked to themes like sustainability, tradition and multiculturality. Starting from the whale itself, symbol of a city that’s shaped like a fish, a personification of the sea that can be saved thanks to the initiatives for the reduction of single-use plastics.   
24Bottles’ water bottles are Carbon Neutral, which means the CO2 emissions caused by the manufacturing, transportation and packaging are offset by international reforestation projects.

Do you want to receive your water bottle in advance? Easy, all you need to do is sign up for the launch event on November 20, which will take place at 12.30 p.m. in the Aula Magna of the San Giobbe Economics Campus. The event is open to all the students enrolled in Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD programs. Registrations will close on November 19 or once capacity is reached. www.unive.it/waterbottle

How will the water bottle distribution be managed after the event?

• Newly enrolled students (Bachelor’s and Master’s programs):
  Starting from November 21, you can reserve your water bottle at this link.
  You can pick it up at any of the following locations, after selecting one of the available time slots:
  - Rio Nuovo, November 25 - December 6, 10.00 am/4.00 pm
  - San Giobbe, November 25 - December 6, 10.00 am/4.00 pm
  - Mestre (Via Torino), November 25 - December 6, 10.00 am/4.00 pm
  - Treviso: December 3 - 6, 10.00 am/4.00 pm
  Remember to bring your tax code and ID with you.
  
  
• Newly enrolled students after November 18: 
  Master’s students who will enroll in the special window from November 18 to December 16 will receive their bottle in January. More information will follow soon.
  
  
• Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD students who enrolled in previous years
  You will all receive your water bottle before the end of the academic year, starting from spring 2020. More details will follow over the next months.
  
  
• Faculty and staff members: 
  your water bottles will be distributed at different locations as a Christmas gift, before the holiday season.
  
  
• Newly enrolled students in a Professional Master:
  the water bottle distribution will be managed by the course’s organizators. 
  
  
• Newly enrolled PhD students:
  the water bottle will be distributed by your Department around the holiday season.
  
  
• Digital Management students (Campus of Roncade):
  you will receive your water bottle on campus
