Sustainability and Gen Z: the challenge with De' Longhi

De’ Longhi, world leader in espresso coffee machines, launches the challenge "Brew Responsibly" with our students, with the goal of developing a communication or marketing campaign dedicated entirely to Gen Z, taking into account how central the issue of sustainability is both for the company and for the identified target.

For several years, De' Longhi Group has been emphasizing the issue of sustainability of their individual brand and all the brands that are part of their group, designing since 2021 extensive sustainable development plans that take into account, like the SDGs, several factors: products, processes and people.

Today, all over the world, the role of sustainability is becoming increasingly central, for individuals but also and especially on a macro-scale, for companies, governments and societies. Generation Z is the first to develop and train in a more informed and conscious context of the need for sustainable development. It is also the first to have at its disposal knowledge and access to technologies capable of supporting this change, becoming one of the main players.

Students participating in the project will have their pitch in mid-November. A panel of 3 experts from De’ Longhi, professors from H-FARM College and experts from the world of sustainability will decide the winner of the "Brew Responsibly" challenge.
