The Double Degree jointly developed by Ca’ Foscari University of Venice - Department of Molecular Sciences and Nanosystems (DSMN) and Kyoto Institute of Technology (KIT) allows selected students to attend the courses of the 2° year of the master’s degree at Kyoto Institute of Technology (KIT) and to obtain a double degree:

  • Laurea Magistrale in Science and Technology of Bio and Nanomaterials from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice;
  • Master’s degree in Materials Science (curriculum in Functional Chemistry) from Kyoto Institute of Technology (KIT).

Admission requirements

The Double Degree programme is reserved for students enrolled in the master’s degree in Science and Technology of Bio and Nanomaterials at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice starting from the academic year 2020/21.

Interested students shall also demonstrate an advanced level of English language proficiency.

How to apply

To be able to participate in the selection process, it is necessary to apply following the procedures and deadlines reported in the call for applications, published annually.

Double/joint degree selection results will be published on this webpage according to the specific timeline mentioned in the Annex A.

Equivalences between the courses of Kyoto Institute of Technology and the courses of Ca’ Foscari University

Selected students will be contacted before the departure for information about the academic activities to carry out at the partner University and to arrange the Learning Agreement according to the equivalences between the courses defined in the double degree agreement. The study plan of the master’s degree at Ca’ Foscari University will be modified accordingly. 

Study period abroad

Students will be contacted by the staff of the Counseling and Welcome Unit for information about the procedures to carry out before, during and after the mobility period, taking place in the second year of master’s degree.

Information about scholarship possibilities can be found in the annual call for applications.

All students will be required to submit a Learning Agreement, listing all the academic activities they are planning to take abroad which will be recognized in their study plan after the completion of the mobility.

Graduation

After having graduated at the partner University, it will be possible to start the procedure to request the diploma of Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. Both degrees will be legally recognized in the countries of issuance.
