The double degree programme jointly managed by Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and the University of Aix-Marseille, offers students the opportunity to experience an international study path, attending their second year of enrollment at the partner University, achieving, at the end of the programme, two highly valuable academic degrees.

More specifically, depending on the Master’s degree attended, students will obtain:

  • Laurea Magistrale in Economia e Finanza
  • Laurea Magistrale in Economics, Finance and Sustainability
  • Laurea Magistrale in Data Analytics for Business and Society

from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and, depending on the Master’s degree assigned:

  • Master in Economics
  • Master in Finance
  • Master in Econometrics Statistics

from Université Aix-Marseille.


Admission requirements

This double degree programme is reserved to students enrolled in the following Master’s degrees:

  • Economia e Finanza
  • Economics, Finance and Sustainability
  • Data Analytics for Business and Society

at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice.

To participate, students must apply during their first year of enrolment

At the time of application, candidates must have obtained at least 12 ECTS credits. Before departure, they must have earned the credits envisaged in the study plan for the first year of the programme by successfully passing the relevant exams. Departure is conditional upon the completion of at least 60 ECTS credits.

Programme and study plan

Students will carry out an academic year of mobility at Université Aix-Marseille during their second year of enrolment, during which they are required to achieve at least 60 ECTS credits and complete their programme.

Students enrolled in the Master’s degree in Economia e Finanza and Economics, Finance and Sustainability will have access to one the following Master’s programmes at the partner University:

  • Master in Economics
    - curriculum Data, Analysis, Decision and Economic Evaluation
    - curriculum Research in Economics
  • Master in Finance
    - curriculum in Financial Modelling
    - curriculum in Financial Risk and Sustainable Finance
    - curriculum Research in Finance.

Students enrolled in the Master’s degree in Data Analytics for Business and Society will have access to the following Master’s programme:

  • Master in Econometrics Statistics
    -  curriculum Econometrics and Data Science
    - curriculum Research in Econometrics.

The assignment of the Master's programme and the specific track within it will be decided by the Selection Committee during the selection process, taking into account:

  • the student’s ranking in the merit list;
  • the preferences expressed by the students at the time of application;
  • the number of places available in each track.

After being selected, students must contact the Educational programmes office of the Department of Economics (didattica.economia@unive.it), to agree in advance on the study plan to be followed abroad, based on the equivalence between the courses offered at Université Aix-Marseille and those at Ca' Foscari, and to define any possible changes to their study plan at Ca' Foscari University.


Tuition fees and mobility grant

Selected students are required to pay tuition fees to Ca' Foscari for the entire duration of the programme and will benefit from total exemption from the payment of tuition fees at the partner University.

For the period of mobility abroad, selected students will benefit from a mobility grant, as provided for in the Call for applications.



Graduation

Students will conclude the programme at the partner University, following the procedures established by the Host institution.

Once the degree has been awarded, the Partner university will send the necessary documentation to the Educational Programmes office of the Department of Economics and to the International Office in order to initiate the credit recognition procedure for the activities completed abroad, including the final examination, for the purpose of issuing the Ca' Foscari degree.

After the credit recognition procedure has been completed, students will be invited to attend a ceremony for the proclamation and awarding of the Ca' Foscari degree, which will take place during the first available graduation session. To this end, students will be required to submit a graduation request at Ca’ Foscari, by following the procedures and deadlines indicated on the relevant webpage: Thesis and final degree exam | Deadlines, admission and procedures.

Both diplomas will be legally recognized in the countries where they are issued.
