Student volunteers

The International Conference on Advanced Visual Interfaces (AVI 2026) invites applications from motivated students who wish to serve as Student Volunteers (SVs).

Responsibilities

Student Volunteers play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of AVI 2026 while gaining valuable professional experience and networking opportunities.

SVs are required to attend the conference in person, be present at least one day before the start, and remain available until the end of the conference.

During the event, SVs help create a welcoming and well-organised experience by:

  • supporting registration and distributing conference materials
  • guiding attendees to sessions, workshops, and other conference spaces
  • assisting session chairs and presenters with setup
  • helping prepare and maintain demos and interactive installations
  • responding to unexpected issues such as equipment needs or presenter delays

Their professionalism and reliability contribute significantly to the atmosphere and overall success of AVI 2026.

  • application deadline: January 25th, 2026
  • notification: February 23rd, 2026

Submission

Applicants must have held student status for at least one semester during the academic year before AVI 2026. In practice, you must be a student at some point between June 2025 and June 2026.

We welcome enthusiastic, friendly, and collaborative volunteers. The selection process is managed by the Student Volunteer Chairs, and we expect to recruit around 6 SVs. Prior experience with academic events is appreciated, and selection may be balanced to support diversity across regions.
