Curriculum vitae
Pavel Duryagin is Associate Professor of Russian Language and Linguistics at the Department of Linguistics and Comparative Cultural Studies, Ca’ Foscari University of Venice.
He graduated in Philology from Lomonosov Moscow State University in 2012. In 2016, he received his PhD in Russian Linguistics from the same university, with a dissertation on coarticulatory modifications of consonants at word boundaries in contemporary Standard Russian.
From 2016 to 2018, he taught at the School of Linguistics of the Faculty of Humanities, National Research University Higher School of Economics in Moscow, where he offered courses in general and applied phonetics and Russian as a foreign language.
His research interests include experimental phonetics, phonology, Russian prosody and intonation, Russian dialectology, foreign language acquisition, bilingualism, heritage languages, and the teaching of Russian as a foreign language.
At Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, he teaches courses in Russian language and Russian linguistics at BA and MA level, as well as a course in Phonetics and Phonology at MA level. He also supervises theses in phonetics and phonology. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Bembolab, an interdisciplinary laboratory of the Department of Linguistics and Comparative Cultural Studies.
