Born in Belluno on September 21, 1977. Scientific high school diploma obtained in 1996 at the State Scientific High School "G. Galilei"(Belluno), mark: 60/60. Five-years degree in Industrial Chemistry obtained in 2001 at the Ca' Foscari University of Venice, 110/110 cum laude, with a thesis in Inorganic Chemistry. Author of more than 200 articles in international journals, of various communications at national and international conferences and of two textbooks on computational and inorganic chemistry. Author of a deposited european patent concerning flame retardants (EP21383062). The current research activity concerns the synthesis and characterization of coordination and organometallic compounds of d- and f-block elements, with particular interest in the isolation of complexes with potential technological interest. The study is focused on the photophysical properties of the new compounds, with the aim of obtaining new molecules and materials to be used in the fields of optics and lighting. The experimental activity is supported by computational studies, extended to the understanding of the activation mechanisms of organic molecules by metal complexes and to the investigation of the electronic structure of metal clusters.
