THESIS SUPERVISION
I'm available to supervise theses on the subject of statistical (also descriptive) data analysis.
I generally ask the student to propose a theme, but I am available to help the student find a suitable one.
Knowledge of statistical software may be required, for example the R language used in the course Statistics laboratory for economic applications.

Curriculum vitae

Silvia Bozza received her PhD in Statistics at the University of Padova in 2002. She is Associate Professor in Statistics at the University Ca' Foscari of Venice, Department of Economics.

Since 2011 she has held several research positions at the University of Lausanne (Switzerland) and teaching positions at the University of Lausanne (Switzerland) and the University of Strasbourg (France).
Since 2016 she is senior researcher at the School of Criminal Sciences of the University of Lausanne.

The main areas of research include Bayesian inference and decision theory with applications in forensic science. She authored and co-authored more than 60 papers in international (peer-reviewed) scientific journals,  three monographies edited by Wiley & Sons and one by Springer on statistical topics related to the evaluation of the scientific evidence. She served as referee for a number of statistical journals and for international research projects (Swiss National Science Foundation, Netherland Organization for Scientific Research).
