Congress location in Venice

San Giobbe Economics Campus
Fondamenta San Giobbe, Cannaregio 873, 30121 Venice

The conference, hosted by the Department of Economics, Ca' Foscari University of Venice, will be held in San Giobbe Economics Campus a modern and fully-equipped congress venue, deeply rooted in the town centre. Sprung from the careful recovery of the local urban fabric, it covers a surface of over 23,000 square meters.
Its 2,000-square-meter garden will provide a pleasant place to take a break. Child care services will be provided. Detailed information about them will soon be made available on this page.

The San Giobbe Economics Campus is conveniently located in the “sestiere” (district) of Cannaregio, at a walking distance from "Piazzale Roma" (bus, tram and taxi terminal) and "Venezia Santa Lucia" railway station (the so-called "Ferrovia").
It is also well connected with the city center and the islands by waterbus (the so-called "Vaporetto"). Near the Campus there are the stops of the ACTV waterbus (“Crea” stop or “Tre Archi” stop) and the stop of the Alilaguna boats, which connect Venice directly from Marco Polo international airport.

Accommodation

ISBA is working to option a number of rooms in different accommodation facilities conveniently located to the conference venue, in Venice Island and Mestre (the Venice district on the mainland). Please check the "ISBA 2024 Accommodation" webpage regularly to stay updated on recommended and reduced-rate accommodations for conference attendees.

If you prefer to book on the island of Venice, we suggest consulting hotels or other accommodations in the sestrieri of Cannaregio, Santa Croce and Dorsoduro.

If, on the other hand, you prefer to book in Mestre, we recommend one of the many facilities near the Venezia-Mestre railway station. This area is conveniently connected to the Island of Venice by public transport lines by bus (active 24/24 h) and by railway (last stop at Venezia Santa Lucia railway station).
The San Giobbe Economics Campus can be reached via a special route that starts from Platform nr. 1 of the Venezia Santa Lucia railway station.

Note that the demand for hospitality in Venice is always very high, and there are many events scheduled in the city for the same period. We strongly suggest that you book your accommodation as soon as possible.
