2024 ISBA World Meeting

2024 ISBA World Meeting
International Society for Bayesian Analysis

The organizers are delighted to invite you to the 2024 ISBA World Meeting which will be held in Venice, Italy, 1 - 7 July 2024, at the Department of Economics - Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, in San Giobbe Economics Campus.

ISBA 2024 is the 31st edition of a stream of conferences organized by the International Society for Bayesian Analysis (ISBA). Following worldwide enthusiasm, positive votes at Bayesian Conferences and letters of support from many countries, between 1991 and 1992 an acting board of Bayesians put together the ideas and established the ISBA society seeking to benefit the international scientific community through the advancement of Bayesian statistics and its application in many fields. In 1992, ISBA was incorporated as a not-for-profit corporation, and the acting board named three of its members, the statisticians Thomas H. Leonard and Gordon M. Kaufman and the economist Arnold Zellner, as officers in the official founding document of incorporation. ISBA publishes the electronic journal Bayesian Analysis and organises world meetings every other year. The first meeting was held in San Francisco (1993) jointly with the NBER-NSF Seminar on Bayesian Inference in Econometrics and Statistics just before the annual Joint Statistical Meetings. The most recent editions of the world meeting were held in Kunming, Yunnan, China (2020) and Montreal, Canada (2022).

The scope of the ISBA world meetings is to bring together the international statistical community of researchers and professionals who develop Bayesian methods and apply them to challenging problems in different fields, ranging from economics, and finance, to business, industry, biostatistics, pharmaceutical statistics, environmental statistics, etc.
