Specifically, the course is designed to provide the key elements in terms of concepts and tools for public management and social innovation, with a particular emphasis on current digital technological innovations.
- To know the pillars of digital innovation in public organizations.
- To understand the “social innovation” perspective.
- To know the evolution of citizens’ expectations and behaviours.
2. APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
- To apply digital public management concepts to governmental and public bodies.
- To adopt a strategic perspective in selecting and implementing digital technologies in public contexts.
3. MAKING JUDGEMENTS
- To be able to assess public strategies, to understand weaknesses and to disseminate points of strength.
- To be able to identify marketing opportunities for tech companies in public management.

3. The evolution of information systems in public organizations: local and central governments;

7. The connected city “concept”: technologies and best practices;
8. The driver of digital innovation in healthcare organizations: “patient 2.0”;
9. The evolution of information systems in healthcare organizations;
10. Focus: patient relationship management digital solutions;
11. Digital innovation in healthcare: tools and trends;
12. Digital technologies for nonprofit organizations (fundraising, engagement…);
13. Focus: digital innovation for aging societies;
14. Focus: digital innovation for environmental strategies;
15. Focus: digital innovation for tourism promotion.
NON ATTENDING STUDENTS will be evaluated on: a final written exam weighted 100% of the final grade (made of both multiple-choice and open questions).
