Nicola Carta received his Master’s degree in Economics and Finance in 2018 from the Ca' Foscari University of Venice. He joined the department of Management shortly after and he is currently a PhD candidate in Banking & Finance under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ugo Rigoni, Prof. Dr. Elisa Cavezzali and Prof. Dr. Vincenzo Capizzi. His research activities focus mainly on entrepreneurial finance, with particular focus on start-ups and SMEs financing, and the interplay between different investor types. He presented his research papers at major international conferences such as the ENTFIN conference, the European Academy of Management conference and the European conference of University Professors of Banking and Finance. He is a member of the Italian Academy of Business Administration (AIDEA), the Italian Association of University Teachers of Financial Intermediaries and Markets (ADEIMF), and the European Association of University Professors of Banking and Finance (Wolpertinger Club).
