Beatrice Tanzi is a PhD student at the University Ca’ Foscari of Venice. She got her bachelor’s degree in Cultural Heritage Studies from the University of Milan (2013), and the master’s degree in the Visual Arts from the University of Bologna (2016). Under the supervision of Daniele Benati, she defended a thesis on the 16th-century painter Filippo da Verona. The focus of her interests lies in the research of the correlation of the visual production and the religious currents during the age of Reformation and the Catholic Revival. Her PhD project explores the influence and the outcomes of Agostino Valier's apostolic visitation in Istria and Dalmatia (1579–1583) on architectural production within the religious sphere.
