Silvia DI VINCENZO

Silvia Di Vincenzo ha conseguito nel 2018 un doppio dottorato di ricerca in filosofia presso la Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa e in islamistica (Études arabes et civilisation du monde musulman) presso l'École Pratique des Hautes Études di Parigi. È stata visiting research fellow a Parigi (École Normale Supérieure), Cambridge, UK (Trinity College) e Aix-en-Provence (CNRS, Centre Paul-Albert Février, laboratoire "Textes et documents de la Méditerranée antique et médiévale").

Attualmente è ricercatrice a tempo determinato (RTD-A) in Storia della filosofia medievale presso La Scuola IMT Alti Studi di Lucca (luglio 2019-giugno 2024).

Prima di entrare a far parte di IMT, è stata assistente di ricerca nel progetto ERC "PhiBor: Philosophy on the Border of Civilizations", e ha collaborato al progetto ERC: "PhiC-PhASIF - Philosophy in Context: Arabic and Syriac manuscripts in the Mediterranean". I suoi interessi di ricerca ruotano principalmente attorno all'esplorazione delle modalità di trasmissione delle idee durante il Medioevo latino e arabo, soprattutto in relazione alle loro fonti greche antiche e tardoantiche. Attualmente, la sua ricerca si concentra sulla rielaborazione araba e latina di aree della logica aristotelica adiacenti alla metafisica, come la teoria degli universali. La sua metodologia di ricerca è duplice e combina l'analisi concettuale dei testi con lo studio della loro trasmissione materiale attraverso manoscritti antichi e medievali.

Attualmente è membro della Société Internationale d’Histoire des Sciences et de la Philosophie Arabes et Islamiques (SIHSPAI), dell'International Albertus Magnus Society, della Société Internationale pour l’Étude de la Philosophie Médiévale (SIEPM), e della Gesellschaft für Philosophie des Mittelalters und der Renaissance (GPMR).
