About the College
Ca’ Foscari International College is an honours college that provides talented high-achieving students with additional opportunities to enhance their education. The two main strengths of the College are its international outlook and multidisciplinary approach.
Members of the college study for their degree programme at Ca’ Foscari and at the same time engage in a wide variety of cultural activities, interdisciplinary lectures and workshops. More specifically, the College offers three exclusive programmes: Global Asian Studies, Sustainability, and Data, Information and Society.
English is the official language of the College. Students develop their international outlook by living in a multicultural environment and being encouraged to spend time studying and doing internships abroad. As a College student you will experience living at university in a stimulating environment that will allow you to excel in your studies and to become part of a lively community — a community in which Italian and international professors share multidisciplinary perspectives and expertise.
“Merit, curiosity and critical thinking are essential for any educational project,” says Professor Marco Li Calzi, Director of the College. “Our College increases the opportunities for students to put their qualities to use. The College was founded 10 years ago and since then we have hosted 230 students and 76 professors. Our alumni have either found employment or continued their studies around the world, while our professors take the innovative ideas and projects that were first fostered at the College and share them in the university’s courses.”
The Santa Marta Residential Campus
The International College has recently moved its campus to Santa Marta. During the academic year, students live at Camplus, the student residence inaugurated in 2019.
The residence offers a series of services that promote communal living and enable students to find a balance between their studies and everyday life. About one third of the residence is made up of common areas, with services for studying and for free time, such as study rooms, a laundry room, a recreation room, and a gym.
