The final examination consists of the presentation and discussion of the master's degree thesis in front of a Committee composed of at least three faculty members, including the student's supervisor and co-supervisor, in Italian and in the chosen study language.
Final theses can either be of theoretical-methodological or of practical nature; In both cases, the thesis must demonstrate the acquired specialist skills and the ability to approach the chosen topics in an original, autonomous and scientific way as well as the ability to conduct research independently.

The final examination is worth 24 ECTS credits.

  2. Before contacting a prospective supervisor, please check the document “Professors thesis profile sinological area [ITA]” attached.
  3. Send a formal request to the professor in an email, with the following information:

    • index/summary
    • bibliography (at least 4-5 titles)
    • considered graduation session
  4. The e-mail must be sent from the student’s institutional email address (matriculationnumber@stud.unive.it) with the following object: "Master’s thesis request" ("richiesta tesi magistrale").
  5. Wait for the professor’s answer to agree on a topic and work methodology.
