Informazioni per i laureandi

Chi volesse scrivere una tesi con me è pregato di contattarmi via mail per poi fissare un appuntamento di persona, possibilmente nell’orario di ricevimento.

È importante leggere attentamente le Linee guida per elaborato finale e tesi di laurea: Regolamenti (unive.it) e la Guida alla tesi di laurea in Storia (unive.it)

Se possibile, raccomando di seguire il laboratorio di scrittura storica che si tiene regolarmente nel nostro ateneo.

Una volta iniziato il lavoro, vi chiederei di inviarmi l’elaborato poche pagine alla volta, in file word separati e con titoli diversi, onde evitare confusione. In tempi brevi vi restituirò il file con alcuni suggerimenti. Generalmente, leggerò ogni sezione una sola volta.

Triennali

Le tesi triennali hanno solitamente una lunghezza tra le 40 e le 50 cartelle, saranno generalmente incentrate su una singola fonte: una cronaca o una storia, un’agiografia, lettere, diplomi o leggi. Lo scopo è analizzare la tradizione del testo assieme al contesto e la data di composizione, guardando al pubblico ideale a cui poteva essere dedicata, lo scopo dell’opera, i contenuti, l’identità dell'autore e la temperie politica in cui venne composta.

Magistrali.

Gli studenti magistrali dovrebbero aver concluso il mio corso di Storia dell’alto Medioevo con buon esito (almeno 27/30).

È richiesta, ahinoi, una conoscenza del latino e, possibilmente, di una lingua straniera.

Normalmente accetto unicamente tesi che siano pertinenti ai miei ambiti di ricerca, principalmente l’alto Medioevo negli aspetti delle identità aristocratiche ed etniche, questioni di genere e militari, le culture barbariche e il paganesimo; inoltre, i commerci, la navigazione e l’utilizzo moderno di tutti questi aspetti. Possiamo discutere di persona alternative percorribili.
